GREAT BRITAIN: Andy Cornwell of the London chapter of British Cannabis is launching the alert for Cannabis contamination, the so called gritty weed, contaminated and quite unhealthy adulterated cannabis that has been hitting in some limited cases the British market. The British Health authorities warned the consumers to check the herb by touching it with wetted hands to detect the small plastic fragments that are mixed to soar the bulky flowers impregnated with brix products. This is official mainstream news in England thanks to the media efforts of British Cannabis. Million Marijuana March was first celebrated in London in a solidarity chain started worldwide as the annual Liberation March in New York City was facing in the nineties a very harsh repression by Mayor Rudolph Giuliani. The 2007 edition is also characterized by regional cannabis activism far beyond the great London area and is going to be hold in different British cities. Since the government has reclassified cannabis from schedule A to schedule C, considering it a rather benign substance not worth of major criminalisation, some people in England think to have already won the battle. Mr Cornwell thinks there is still a bit way to go to in Great Britain. In Britain most of the weed is home-grown even though Rastafarians do not like the skunk sort and would like to have their traditional African or Caribbean grass that due to tougher police checks is not easily available in Britain.

On a conversation with Enrico Fletzer of Million Marijuana Radio, Aja tries to expose the paradox situation of present day Netherlands about cannabis whereas the selling is quite legal and the production and the backdoor delivery or the notorious coffee shops is still not regulated by the authorities. Although there is a proposal of over 20 mayors of all political colours to legalise production, the government is not willing and repression kicks small operators out of the market and big criminal groups supply the large demand.
